Victory for Queensland Patients: Health Regulation 270A has been amended to allow for lawful access
Premier Palaszczuk and Cabinet have made an amendment to Regulation 270A and also made a new entry 270B to allow approvals to be given for the use of schedule 9 cannabis connected with clinical trials and the Commonwealth Special Access Scheme (SAS).
We still have a long way to go with our lobbying as there were no specific provisions for cultivation or protection for home growers and patients obtaining their cannabis from the illicit market however the prohibition for cultivation previoulsy in Regulation 270A has been removed which means new regulations can be made in the new year.
